Call for Expression of Interest for Provision of External Audit Services for Financial Year 2024
Organization Profile: MUKIKUTE is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to addressing Tuberculosis (TB) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in Tanzania. Our work focuses on improving public health and providing crucial services in communities across Tanzania.
Purpose:
MUKIKUTE seeks to engage a qualified and registered External Auditors to conduct the audit of our financial statements for the fiscal year 2024 (January–December 2024). The audit will cover all financial transactions, asset management, and compliance with applicable regulations, ensuring that funds have been utilized effectively and efficiently in alignment with our objectives.
Scope of Work: The external auditor will be responsible for providing an independent opinion on the following:
- Financial Statements: Verify that the financial statements presents fairly the organization’s income, expenditures, and assets for the FY2024.
- Compliance with Regulations: Assess the adherence to donor and organizational regulations, ensuring that project funds have been used in accordance with approved guidelines.
- Internal Control Systems: Evaluate the effectiveness of MUKIKUTE’s internal control mechanisms and make recommendations for improvements.
- Cost Effectiveness and Budget Adherence: Review expenditure for cost-effectiveness and ensure adherence to the approved budget.
Qualifications:
. The auditor must be a registered professional by the National Board of Accounts and Auditors.
. The auditor should have experience with donor-funded projects and familiarity with Tanzanian regulations and international accounting standards.
. Previous experience working with international NGOs or similar organizations will be highly regarded.
Deliverables:
. Audit report on the financial statements for the period ending 31 December 2024,
. Management Letter
.To complete the audit on time i.e. by March 30th after end of the year.
Submission Requirements: Interested auditors should submit the following documents by 30th December 2024.
. A detailed proposal outlining their qualifications, audit experience, and approach to the assignment.
. Copy of Registration with National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA)
.At least two references from similar audits conducted for other NGOs or organizations.
